Ohio Compliance Statement

Our clients' protections remain fully intact.

In response to a 2025 Ohio Supreme Court ruling, Legally Mine has voluntarily and immediately ceased all service activity in the state. The following is a full, transparent account of what occurred, what we did, and what it means for you.

Ohio Status

Status - Fully resolved. Ohio services have been discontinued.
Client Assets - No client assets are at risk. All existing protections remain valid.
Outreach - Affected Ohio clients have been individually contacted.

What happened, and why we acted swiftly.

In early 2025, the Ohio State Bar Association filed a complaint before the Ohio Supreme Court, alleging that certain services provided by Legally Mine to Ohio-based clients constituted the unauthorized practice of law under Ohio's regulatory framework. The Court agreed with that characterization.

This ruling did not call into question the underlying effectiveness of our asset protection structures, the competence of our team, or the validity of the protections already in place for our clients. It addressed a specific question of jurisdictional licensure, and we responded immediately and without contest.

Legally Mine has voluntarily ceased all service activity in the State of Ohio. We believe this is the right and responsible course of action, and it reflects the same commitment to compliance and client advocacy that has defined our firm for over 40 years.

Three things every client should know.

01 - Your assets are protected. The ruling does not invalidate or compromise any of the asset protection structures already established on your behalf. Your entities, trusts, and legal protections remain fully effective.

02 - We have already reached out. All Ohio-based clients whose accounts required any administrative review have been contacted directly by a dedicated member of our team. No action is required on your part unless we have specifically requested it.

03 - Ongoing service continues. Legally Mine will be open to Ohio based clients working with an Ohio based law firm as a 2nd reviewer Law Firm: Kemp, Schaeffer & Rowe

The Steps Legally Mine has Taken.

Step 1 - Immediate Cessation of Ohio Services Upon receiving the ruling, we immediately halted all new client services for Ohio-based individuals. Our FAQ, website, and internal systems were updated to reflect this change without delay.

Step 2 - Proactive Client Review Our client services and legal teams conducted a comprehensive review of all Ohio-based accounts to identify any clients who may require administrative attention or additional support as a result of this ruling.

Step 3 - Direct Client Outreach Each affected Ohio client was contacted personally by a dedicated account specialist. If you have not received outreach from us and believe you may be affected, please contact our client services line directly.

Step 4 - Full Transparency with State Officials We are cooperating fully and transparently with Ohio state officials throughout this process. Legally Mine has no interest in contesting this ruling; our priority is ensuring every client's protection is uninterrupted and every obligation is met.
