A Message to Our Ohio Clients
What You Need to Know
Legally Mine is committed to transparency; it's one of the core principles that has guided us in protecting medical and business professionals for nearly two decades. In that spirit, we want to address something directly.
In early 2025, the Ohio State Bar Association filed a complaint against Legally Mine, LLC and its CEO Daniel McNeff, alleging that certain services provided to Ohio clients constituted the unauthorized practice of law. Rather than engage in prolonged litigation, Legally Mine entered into a consent decree with the Ohio Supreme Court, acknowledging the matter and committing to make it right for every affected client.
What This Means
The consent decree, approved by the Supreme Court of Ohio on February 20, 2025, determined that an Ohio-licensed attorney was not involved in the preparation or review of the legal advice and documents provided to Ohio clients by Legally Mine. It is important to note that this finding relates to Ohio's state-specific licensing requirements, not the integrity or intent of the strategies and plans provided.
All current and former Ohio clients have the right to seek independent legal counsel regarding Legally Mine and its services.
What We Are Doing About It
Because we believe our clients deserve nothing less than complete confidence in their protection plan, Legally Mine is offering every current and former Ohio client an Attorney Review: A full review of your asset protection plan and all associated documents by an Ohio-licensed attorney of your choosing, paid for entirely by Legally Mine.
